Biography: Anna Engelbrecht
I am a recent graduate of Olivet Nazarene University, where I double majored in biology and art with a concentration in photography. My plans going into college were to major in zoology and later become a zookeeper. After learning how much I didn’t understand chemistry and how much was required as a zoology major I changed majors to a biology major. Trying to decide how I could fit art into a biology field, I decided that photography fit the best. I could be a wildlife photographer. Later I discovered that illustration was another path I could take. I could use the knowledge that I gained as a biology major to enhance my artistic abilities. I enjoy the path that I have chosen very much. Being an artist with a scientific background is more than I had hoped for.
When I am not creating artwork I enjoy reading and watching movies. I currently live in Moline, IL with my family and pets.
